2021 CSA Season Info

The 2020 CSA season was a great success! So many delicious, organic fruits and vegetables were grown and consumed. Each year we work to improve our methods and soil so 2021 is primed to be better than ever!
**2021 CSA Details (subject to change with advance notice)**
Each year we grow more than 40 types of vegetables to keep the CSA shares interesting and fun along with plenty of your favorites. Don’t worry, we provide recipe ideas each week!
**A typical $25 share** includes a minimum of 1 bag of greens or head of lettuce, 2-3 root type veggies such as carrots, beets, radishes or turnips, and 2-3 fruit vegetables such as cucumbers, peppers or tomatoes. You will receive between 6-10 different vegetables depending on the week.
Shares are offered in either a weekly or bi-weekly option. Bi-weekly shares are delivered on either even or odd weeks of the CSA (weeks 1,3,5 or weeks 2,4,6 etc)
**NEW FOR 2021**
We will continue to focus primarily on our CSA to bring the best possible quality to our dedicated customers.
We are also continuing our focus on sustainable agriculture, and are adding permanent hedge rows into our growing fields. This will diversify the habitat, attract beneficial pollinators as well as predatory insects.
This is an exciting development that should help improve soil quality and in turn vegetable quality and nutrition content over the long haul.
**SKIP WEEK POLICY**
The weekly CSA shares include 24 home deliveries over the 26 week season to accommodate vacations and other travel plans. Simply email farmer Joe and let him know you wont need your delivery that week. Additional skip weeks or “double deliveries” can be negotiated on an as needed basis.
If unused, the extra two skip weeks can also be purchased individually at the end of the season.
Bi-weekly deliveries don’t include skip weeks, but you can arrange to move your deliveries to accommodate travel plans on your scheduled delivery date. For example, if you have deliveries on even weeks and are traveling during week 10, you can opt to have your week 10 delivery sent on week 11 instead. So your deliveries would be …..week 8, week 11, week 12, week 14….. etc.
